A plane flying from Brussels to Montreal got diverted because of storms on Monday, and 336 passengers had to wait on the plane for six hours . . . after they had already been in the air for nine hours. It got so hot that someone called 911 from inside the plane, and the pilot tried to call the person up to the front to have a discussion about it. (They had to stay on the plane because the airport in Ottawa was so overwhelmed with planes being diverted from other places. There were no gates and no stairs available to get people off the plane.)
