#Trending-Thus 11/01/18: Al Roker Was a White Character on the "Today" Show

Al Roker Was a White Character on the "Today" Show, and People Couldn't Handle It

With MEGYN KELLY's firing still fresh, "Today" host AL ROKER went and dressed as a WHITE GUY for yesterday's Halloween show.

He was Doc Brown, the character CHRISTOPHER LLOYD played in the "Back to the Future" movies.  But here's what's important:  He DIDN'T CHANGE THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN.

That point was lost on more than a few people, who decided he was being hypocritical, or maybe even racist, after criticizing Megyn's comments on blackface.

But Al set the record straight by Tweeting, quote, "I'm going to say this one last time, but the folks who get it, understand and the ones who DON'T, won't.

"I can be Doc Brown, and I wear the outfit and wig and not change my skin color.  If you're white, you can be President Obama if you want.  Just don't color your skin!"  (People)

I’m going to say this one last time, but the folks who get it, understand and the ones who DON’T, won’t. I can be Doc Brown, and I wear the outfit and wig and not change my skin color if you’re white , you can be President Obama if you want. Just don’t color your skin!
