#TRENDING 5/19/23: National Pizza Party Day: 7% of People Dip Pizza in Mayo

It's National Pizza Party Day: 7% of People Dip Their Pizza in Mayonnaise

Today is National Pizza Party Day . . . and a great way to celebrate is to venture outside of your comfort zone and try a different style or topping. But how far are you willing to go?

In a poll released this week, people were asked for their favorite and LEAST favorite toppings. No surprise . . . pepperoni is the most popular, with 24% of people saying if they have to have one topping, that's it.

Sausage is next, followed by extra cheese . . . mushrooms . . . chicken . . . pineapple . . . bacon . . . peppers . . . and meatballs.

Anchovies are, by far, the most hated topping, with 29% saying it's the worst. Jalapenos are the second least-favorite, followed by pineapple, eggplant, and broccoli. 9% of people say there is NO bad topping.

Most Americans prefer to have some kind of sauce with their pizza. The most popular are marinara, garlic butter, and ranch. But 10% of people dip their pizza crust in ketchup . . . 8% want hot honey . . . 7% want regular honey . . . and 7% want mayonnaise.  (???)
